SmarTrack - Thatcham Approved Vehicle Tracking
Thatcham approved stolen vehicle tracking systems are recognised by all major insurance providers. Thatcham categorises tracking systems into two levels: S5 and S7. S5 offers a more advanced level of protection, featuring Driver Identification technology.
SmarTrack offer two Driver Identification methods: D-iD and Driver Detection.
- D-iD uses your mobile phone to verify the driver and sends an alert each time your vehicle is driven.
- Driver Detection involves a rechargeable, credit card-sized device that must be carried and switched on while driving. If this device is not present or turned off, SmarTrack's Control Centre will promptly contact you to confirm your vehicle’s safety.
